The Division provides a comprehensive solution to the needs of small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs) and co-operatives in the city.

Various projects and initiatives are run each year including Business Month where the City of Tshwane hosts different business initiatives each year during the month of May, to raise awareness and to promote and facilitate entrepreneurship.

The City of Tshwane hosted the second chapter of the Tshwane International Trade and Infrastructure Investment Conference (TITIIC) in May 2009, where 750 delegates were in attendance. 60 local and 20 international exhibitors were on display.
