Certificate in Executive Development (Stellenbosch).
Currently completing a PhD in Public Affairs (University of Pretoria).
Corporate governance:
Served as CEO of the Metropolitan Trading Company, an entity of the City of Johannesburg;
CEO of the Johannesburg Market;
Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Trade and Investment, Limpopo.
Political history:
Led the South African Student Congress (SASCO), ANC Youth League at the University of Durban, Westville;
Led the ANC branch in Atteridgeville;
Served as ANC Ward 51 Councillor (2000 to 2005).
Currently Chairperson of the ANC in the Tshwane Region.
Elected as Executive Mayor of the City of Tshwane in November 2010.

Management);
2010 Black Business Quarterly title bearer: Young Business Achiever of the Year.
