Any person who wishes to lodge an objection in respect of any matter in, or omitted from, the roll can lodge the objection with the City Manager within the above-stated period. The objection must be in relation to a specific individual property, and not against the Valuation Roll as such (section 50(2) of the Act). Furthermore, the lodging of an objection does not defer liability for payment of rates beyond the date determined for payment (section 50(6) of the Act).

The prescribed forms for the lodging of an objection are obtainable at the under-mentioned offices of the Municipality or from www.tshwane.gov.za.
