Hatfield City Improvement District
The Hatfield City Improvement District was established
in October 2003.
Services offered by the Hatfield CID mainly focus on the following:
• Safety and Security,
• Cleaning,
• Maintenance,
• Marketing,
• Infrastructural Improvements.
A City Improvement District is a geographic area within which property
owners agree to pay for certain services supplementary to those supplied
by the Local Authority and which will enhance the physical and social
environment of the area. The property owners determine the type and
scope of services that are required based on the needs of the area under
consideration.
Urban management of a defined area is brought down to street level
with a focus and attention to detail. Management environments offer
friendly, clean and safe conditions that are a prerequisite for investment
and growth. Improvement Districts lave led the provision of managed
environments. They are a proven tool in the fight against urban decay.
Together with the Local Authority, City Improvement Districts promote
growth and investment into various dynamic areas such as Hatfield, Sunnyside,
Hillcrest, Menlyn, etc.
