Our TshWi-FI service is now bigger and better, with more connection points and more data. Give it a try and do more with 1 GB free data daily and enjoy download speeds of up to 15 Mbps. There are more than 1 050 free TshWi-Fi internet zones throughout Tshwane.
There are new hotspots available where users can enjoy free internet access. These hotspots include public open spaces, clinics, libraries, schools, educational institutions, heritage sites, parks and many other sites.
In addition, residents will have access to a new public Wi-Fi app, which will allocate a local number to users, allowing them to make outbound calls to mobile and landline numbers.
The app will make usage statistics available, grant access to urgent announcements regarding other municipal services by the City, and offer access to new online skills and learning advancement features. This includes a free exam revision program for Grade 10, 11 and 12 learners called the EduBlush Virtual Academy. EduBlush allows TshWi-Fi users to download digitised versions of previous Department of Basic Education exam papers for exam practice with automatic marking, corrections and score-recording abilities to keep track of progress.
Through the TshWi-Fi app, the City of Tshwane further provides the youth in Tshwane with free access to the IBM Digital-Nation Africa (D-NA) programme, which allows local entrepreneurs and communities access to knowledge, skills and tools to innovate, design, develop and launch their own digital solutions.

TshWi-Fi is not just ordinary Wi-Fi. With this great service, you have access to the world at your fingertips.
