The Executive Mayor of Tshwane, Cllr Stevens Mokgalapa, welcomed the pronouncements made by the President of the Republic of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, at the Tshwane Automotive Hub SEZ Presidential Launch on Tuesday, 5 November 2019.
"This is an investment that carries the potential to alter the socio-economic lives of Tshwane residents," said the Executive Mayor.
Once implemented, the Tshwane Automotive Hub will create jobs at an exponential rate for residents of Tshwane, which has a population of 3,3 million.
"It is a pleasure to be an equal partner with the Gauteng Provincial Government and the Department of Trade and Industry in a shared vision for prosperity.
The highlight for the administration under the tripartite agreement between the three spheres of government will culminate in a successful collaboration, which supports the vision to build a world-class automotive hub, a first of its kind in Africa," the Executive Mayor continued.
Having concluded public consultation processes in October, Cllr Mokgalapa extends his utmost gratitude to President Ramaphosa for the workmanship demonstrated as we all look forward to the full development of this life-changing automotive hub.
