Tomorrow, 15 November 2018, the City of Tshwane
will remove tree branches around overhead power lines in some of the suburbs
south-west of the Pretoria CBD, and this will lead to an organised power
outage.
The power lines in the area must be trimmed urgently
to fix the sagging overhead power lines that are causing regular area
outages. The sagging is the result of wind, rain or lightning.
The allow the City’s Region 4 electricity section time
to trim the trees and repair or adjust the power lines, electricity will have
to be switched off from 08:00 until 16:00 in Centurion suburbs and the
following nearby areas:
·
Erasmia
·
Christoberg
Residents in these areas – as well as in other regions
of the City where trees are trimmed – should notice a decrease in power
outages.
The City apologises to all its customers for the
inconvenience that may be caused by the temporary disruption of power supply.
