The City of Tshwane would like to inform residents about the temporary suspension of motor vehicle registration and licencing operations at Waltloo Licencing Centre with effect from today, 12 January 2021, following a reported positive COVID-19 case.
During the closure and suspension of operations, the affected licencing centre will be disinfected to combat the risk of further COVID-19 infection. However, all scheduled driving licence tests will not be affected by the suspension of operations.
The licencing centre will reopen for operations as soon as the disinfection process has been completed. Further updates will be issued in this regard.
The following licencing centres remain open to assist residents with temporary driving licences as well as registration and licencing of motor vehicles:
- Centurion Licencing Centre
- Akasia Licencing Centre
- Bronkhorstspruit Licencing Centre
Group Property, the Health Department and Group Human Capital Management will adhere to the City of Tshwane's standard operating procedure on buildings with confirmed positive COVID-19 cases.
During the disinfection and deep cleaning of workplaces, all employees housed at Waltloo Licencing Centre have been advised to remain at home and to take the necessary precautionary measures to observe occupational health and safety directives and protocols related to COVID-19.
