The City of Tshwane's Driving Licence Testing Centre at Waltloo, east of the city, will not open for business today following a break in which occurred late on Sunday night. The centre will, however, be able to accommodate learner's and driving licence tests for candidates who made prior appointments scheduled for today.
The break in has been reported to the police and investigations are underway. The affected section has been badly damaged by the equipment used to force entry into the banking area of the centre. If all goes well and police finish taking the fingerprints today, the centre will resume business operations tomorrow.
The City wishes to apologise to its customers for the inconvenience caused.
