Applying for membership

Please show your ID when you apply for membership.

If you are under 18 years of age, have your parent or legal guardian complete the membership application.

If your contact details change, please inform the library.

Renew your membership annually.

Using your library card

You will be issued with your own library card. You may use your card at any library of the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality.
Bring your card with you every time you visit the library.
If you lose your card, please report it to the library. (Lost cards are replaced at a small fee.)

Borrowing items from the library

You may borrow six items for two weeks.

You may extend the loan period on all items twice (in person or by telephone). If another borrower has made a special request for a book you have, it will not be renewed.

You may request a longer loan period if you are going on holiday.

You may borrow additional items at a fee.

You must return the items to the library where they were issued.

You must keep track of due dates to avoid fines.

Please note: Lost or damaged items must be replaced with brand-new items.
