Gauteng Housing rental tribunal

  1. Functions of the Tribunal The Tribunal is vested with certain rights and obligation is terms of the Rental Housing Act 1999, NO 50 and the Regulations thereof to:
    • Receive complaints lodged by either landlords or tenants.
    • Resolve disputes between tenants and landlords.
    • Appoint mediators.
    • Conduct hearings.
    • Relationship building between landlord and tenants.

    • Lease
    • Rights and duties of the landlords and tenants.
    • Non-payment of Rentals.
    • Exploitative rentals.
    • Condition, use and maintenance.

    • Issuing of receipts maintenance.

    • Residents, institutions and property management through mediation and hearing provision of advise and information with regard to lease agreement.
