The Office of the City Manager ensures efficient and high-quality service delivery through leadership and commitment to the City of Tshwane’s policies and plans.
The City Manager is the head of the administration as well as the accounting officer for the City of Tshwane, as defined by section 15 of Municipal Systems Amendment Act, 2011 (Act 7 of 2011). The accounting officer is supported by specialist offices that include the Office of the Chief Operations Officer and Governance and Support Service.
The Office of the City Manager is managed by the Head of Office: Strategy and Management Support, supported by the Shareholder Operations Unit and the following divisions: Governance and Administration, Executive Performance Management (Section 56), Service Delivery Rapid Response and Intervention, and Tshwane Tourism
