PUBLIC CONSULTATION MEETING REVIEW LINE 1A
The Line 1A trunk route will run from Pretoria Station along Paul Kruger Street and Mansfield Avenue to Rainbow Junction. As part of the extended network, the A Re Yeng service will feed passengers from the adjacent suburbs to the trunk route via eight feeder routes. The buses for the feeder routes will run in mixed traffic and will not have dedicated lanes like the buses on the trunk routes. The following residential areas will be affected by the feeder routes: Pretoria Central, Capital Park, Eloffsdal, Les Marais, Mayville, Pretoria Gardens, Daspoort, Pretoria and Townlands, Hermanstad, Roseville, Daspoort Estate, Gezina, Villieria Deerness, Eloff Estate, Parktown Estate, Mountain View, Wonderboom South, Rietfontein, Rivierria and Prinshof.
Open sessions and public meetings are going to be held to get the public’s input on the suggested feeder routes. An open session will last two hours and will give members of the public a chance to view the various routes displayed. Afterwards a public meeting will be held to discuss any questions that might still be unresolved. The A Re Yeng team and a specialist will attend the open sessions and the public meeting to answer questions regarding the various feeder routes.
