The Pretoria Art Museum presents Grafika Workshops Series 2016 Exhibition. This exhibition features the works of youths who recently participated in a series of art-making workshops presented at the museum, which included sponge and stencilling printmaking, and water-based printmaking. As part of a visual art development project focusing on disadvantaged communities, ten children from Bathokwa Primary School in Saulsville, and ten from Mogale Primary School in Mamelodi, who do not have art as a school subject, were invited to attend the workshops. These groups of children were coordinated by Capital Arts Revolution - an arts and culture NPO based in Tshwane. The series of workshops was conceived and facilitated by the Pretoria Art Museum's Education Assistants. 20 of the best artworks produced during the workshops have been selected for an exhibition that will run from 26 November 2016 to 29 January 2017. This exhibition is dedicated to 1 December, which is internationally observed as World Aids Day.
