City of Tshwane Expanded Public Works Programme recruitment drive underway

The City of Tshwane is currently on a recruitment drive that will result in the placement of Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) participants within various projects scheduled to take place in the City on a fixed-term contract basis.

The EPWP is a social development initiative aligned to the national government’s short- to medium-term job creation and skills development imperatives.

From 19 to 30 June 2023, community members are urged to come and check or verify their status (if registered already) or enrol for the EPWP as follows:

EPWP requirements when applying

  • South African citizen
  • 18 to 60 years old
  • Currently unemployed
  • Copies of identity document and proof of residence

Successful candidates will be placed through an electronic lottery system. The system works independently without any influence by electronically selecting applicants from our EPWP database.
