This week, the City of Tshwane will take its Re A Spana programme to Renstown in Region 2.
The Re A Spana programme, which forms part of the City’s 100-day Action Plan, is an accelerated service delivery operation which is cross-functional, combining clean-up efforts with service delivery interventions and by-law enforcement.
The programme encourages various stakeholders within the communities to volunteer their time and expertise to improve public spaces and neighbourhoods through joint efforts.
The Renstown multidisciplinary operation will be led by the Executive Mayor, Cllr Nasiphi Moya.
The following will form part of the day’s activities:
- Litter picking, tree felling and grass cutting
- By-law enforcement operation
- Homelessness outreach
- Engagement with local businesses
- Environmental health services
- Street light maintenance, and pothole and water leak repairs
