The City’s offices to close temporarily over festive season

The City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality advises customers that municipal offices will be temporarily closed for festive season from 27 to 31 December 2024 and re-open on 2 January 2025. However, essential services will remain open during this period. Our offices will close at 12:00 on 24 December 2024.

Although the municipal offices will be temporarily closed during this period, customers are advised and encouraged to pay their municipal account. The following municipal pay points will be open from 27 December until 31 December 2024 at 12h00.

  • Akasia
  • Beirut
  • Bronkhorstspruit
  • Hammanskraal
  • Middestaad Building
  • Centurion
  • Soshanguve Block F

Customers can also use easy, quick and safe electronic facilities to pay for municipal services. It does not matter whether you have received a municipal statement or not, customers must just pay. You can make your payments through e-Tshwane or at accredited third-party pay points, such as the Post Office, Pick n Pay, Usave, OK, Spar, Boxer, Caltex, BP, EP kiosks, Investec, FNB, Absa, Nedbank, Standard Bank, Shoprite or Checkers amongst others.

Consumers can get a summary of their municipal account, pay their account and download various forms to apply for and cancel services via e-Tshwane and the WhatsApp service on 087 153 1001. Please ensure that you register first on e-Tshwane before you can use the service.

Emergency services

During this festive season, Tshwane Metro Police Department and the Emergency Medical Services Department will be on full alert and will operate 24 hours a day to assist Tshwane residents. For assistance with emergency services, call the following:

Queries and reporting service interruptions

Customers can lo log queries by contacting our customer care line on 012 358 9999 or toll-free on 080 1111 556. Power failures can be reported via SMS or online. SMS the word “power” followed by your account number to 082 612 0333 or 44676 or visit www.tshwane.gov.za and follow the Report Power Failure link. Customers can submit meter readings via e-Tshwane or at meterrecords@tshwane.gov.za in accordance with the billing calendar. Visit www.tshwane.gov.za, click on the e-Tshwane link and follow the instructions.

Refuse collection

Refuse collection will continue in accordance with the usual schedule from 27 to 31 December 2024.

Tshwane Fresh Produce Market: Operating days and times

  • 15, 16, 25 & 26: December 2024: The market will be closed.
  • 1 January 2025: The market will be closed.
