Bronkhorstspruit Water Treatment Plant is temporarily offline due to deteriorated raw water quality that is characterised by cloudiness, which was caused by the recent heavy rainfall.
Our technicians are closely monitoring the situation, and the plant will resume operations as soon as the water quality improves.
The following areas in Region 7 are affected:
- Bronkhorstspruit Town
- Ekandustria
- Ekangala
- Rethabiseng
- Riamarpark
- Thembisile Hani Local Municipality (cross-border water supply)
- Zithobeni
Roaming water tankers will be arranged for all the affected areas.
The City of Tshwane apologises for the inconvenience that may be encountered as a result of this temporary shutdown.
