Planned water interruption in Boardwalk and nearby areas

    Thu, Jul 29, 2021

Rand Water has notified the City of Tshwane about a planned shutdown of the water supply to Boardwalk and nearby areas from Tuesday, 27 July 2021, until Wednesday, 28 July 2021.

During this period, the water utility will connect two of its water meters namely, No 68 and 69, to an H46 pipe in the area. The interruption will last for 12 hours from 17:00 until 05:00.

The following areas will be affected by this shutdown:

    • Boardwalk Meander
    • Boardwalk Meadows
    • Boardwalk
    • Bronberg
    • Olympus
    • Mooikloof Ridge
    • Faerie Glen

NB: Faerie Glen has been added to the list of areas that will be affected by the water outage.

All reservoirs will be filled to capacity to ensure the provision of water to residents in these areas. However, residents are cautioned to use water sparingly to avoid the water levels in the reservoirs from dropping rapidly – a situation that will lead to a service interruption.

The City of Tshwane sincerely apologises for the inconvenience that may be encountered as a result of the above-mentioned planned maintenance.
