​ UPDATE: DELAYS IN REFUSE COLLECTION IN SOME PARTS OF THE CITY

The City of Tshwane would like to inform residents of the continuation of disruptions in refuse collection services in Regions 2, 3, 4 and 6.

The following areas which were scheduled for refuse collection over the past two days have been affected:

4 Centurion Golf Estate, Die Hoewes, Eco Park and Zwartkop Clubview Golf Estate, Eldoraigne, Hennops Industrial Area and Stoneridge
6 Equestria

 

Brummeria, Equestria, Faerie Glen, Lynnwood Glen, Lynnwood Ridge, Savanna Estate and Wapadrand

The City will continue collecting waste in the affected areas today, Thursday, 1 September 2022. Customers in the mentioned affected areas are advised to take out their refuse bins for collection.

We will strive to ensure that the collection backlog is fully addressed by Saturday, 3 September 2022. Thereafter, the normal schedule will resume from Monday next week.

The disruptions notwithstanding, we managed to reduce the backlog in some areas, and we would like to thank residents for their cooperation and patience during this unplanned service interruption period.

The City wishes to apologise unreservedly for any inconvenience caused.
