The City of Tshwane wishes to inform its customers about a planned water supply shutdown by Rand Water, which will affect some areas in the east of Pretoria.

The water utility’s team of technicians will conduct a tie-in of the newly installed H47 pipeline meter connections. The shutdown is expected to last for 12 hours as the connection work is planned to start at 17:00 on 23 March 2023 and end at 05:00 on 24 March 2023.

During the shutdown, the H26 pipeline from Rietvlei Nature Reserve to Mamelodi will still be operational, however, the Savannah Estate and Hatherley Meters will be isolated.

The following areas in Pretoria East will be affected:

  • Hatherley
  • Mamelodi (all extensions)
  • Nellmapius Ext 2
  • Savannah Estate

The City of Tshwane apologises for the inconvenience that may be caused by the planned shutdown.
