City of Tshwane resumes finance virtual outreach programme to assist residents to keep their municipal accounts in good standing

 The City of Tshwane has decided to bring back its virtual outreach programme which is aimed at encouraging customers to pay their municipal accounts. The programme is also aimed at assisting customers with various queries related to their accounts.

The City of Tshwane’s Group Financial Services is engaging residents via Zoom to maintain direct communication with customers. The shift to virtual communication is necessary to cater to customers who require direct engagement with revenue officials from anywhere.

From 16 October to 15 December 2023, Group Financial Services will assist customers with the following:

  • Account and billing queries and corrections of estimations
  • Credit control and assistance with repayment arrangements
  • Property rates queries
  • Indigent-related queries and registration (social development)
  • Water meter queries
  • Electricity and prepaid metering queries

The programme will run as follows:

  • Mondays to Fridays from 16:00 until 19:00
  • Saturdays from 08:00 until 13:00
  • Closed on Sundays

Customers should have their account numbers at hand when logging in on the Zoom platform. Since hosts will be grouped in terms of the service rendered, customers will be requested to log on to the category of their query.
