Following yesterday’s announcement of the City’s bold financial rescue plan, I am pleased to inform our residents that the City’s Group Financial Services will embark on the Billing Days Outreach Programme tomorrow to assist ratepayers with various queries related to their accounts.
The Billing Days Outreach Programme is instrumental in helping residents keep their municipal accounts in good standing and encouraging them to pay regularly for services.
The finance teams will assist residents with the following services:
- Meter reading and invoicing
- Credit control and assistance with payment arrangements
- Billing enquiries
- Social development (indigent programme)
- Electricity queries
- Issues pertaining to late estates
- Property rates and valuations
