City of Tshwane provides an opportunity for 120 learners from Soshanguve, Ga- Rankuwa and Mamelodi schools to attend the AAD Expo and Air Show

As Tshwane has a majority population of youths, we believe that events such as the Africa Aerospace and Defence (ADD) Expo and Air Show is a great opportunity to expose young people and learners to possible opportunities in the aviation industry.

Therefore, it is on this note that the City of Tshwane Community and Social Development Services Department has organised three buses to transport learners to attend the 11th edition of the AAD Expo and Air Show currently taking place at the Waterkloof Air Force Base in Centurion.

A total of 120 Tshwane-based learners in Grades 9, 10 and 11 who have excelled in science and mathematics have been selected to experience and enjoy exposure to a whole new aerospace and aviation event.

These learners are from Soshanguve Automotive Secondary School, Tebogwana Automotive Secondary School based in Ga-Rankuwa and Ribane Laka High School based in Mamelodi.

The AAD Expo is a family-friendly event with an exciting air show that will be open to the public this coming weekend on 24 and 25 September 2022. We encourage all residents, young and old, to attend the event. Tickets are for sale at Computicket.
