The City of Tshwane’s team of technicians is attending to a power outage affecting Saulsville and nearby areas since last night. The outage was caused by burnt panels at the said substation.
The estimated restoration time is not yet known.
The following areas are affected:
Saulsville
- Broederstroom AH
- Jeffsville Informal Settlement
- Phumolong Informal Settlement
- Vergenoeg Informal Settlement
- Brazzaville Informal Settlement
- AE 21 Elandsfontein
- Atteridgeville Ext 3, 6, 7, 16, 17, 18 and 19
The City apologises for the inconvenience caused to affected residents.
When was this happened and wht is the course
Other people have electricity, yet the upper part of Phomolong does not and this has been taking place for every year winter. I personally am stuck, I need electricity to conduct my activities.
This is ridicules. Power was out from about 09h30 in Moregloed, came on at roughly 19h30 this evening, was on for an hour and a half, then off again. What is going on? I understand if there are power issues at the substation but to let it come on for not even 2hours and off again is not acceptable, but this seams to not be taken in consideration at all. Us as residents of SA must just be fine with the fact that u still pay for power, even when there is no power. What a laugh.
It is unacceptable to have these prolonged outages in the scorching heat and humidity. Our appliances and our lives are adversely affected. How can you not have an estimated restoration time? Is anybody attending to the matter at all???? Your level of service delivery for your paying customers is unacceptable!!!

It is painful to go to work with the darkness and stil come back and there is no power totally unacceptable.

It is very rough ,but at least Municipality must notify Residents to make alternative arrangements. Other people in weekends have funeral arrangements and to bury the love ones.Its affecting the house hold tremendously.
