The City of Tshwane has been alerted by the power utility, Eskom, about a power supply interruption at the 132 kV Vulcan Substation in Region 7, on 18 April 2023.
According to the power utility, this emergency work is necessitated by the need to carry out inevitable maintenance work at the substation. Due to the system requirements and processes involved in carrying out this activity, it is imperative that the electricity supply be shut down during this period. The interruption period will last eight hours, from 08:00 until 16:00.
The following areas will be affected:
- Bronkhorstbaai
- Bronkhorstspruit
- Ekangala
- Rethabiseng
- Zithobeni
In the interest of safety, all electrical appliances must always be treated as live (still on) during this service supply interruption.
Any inconvenience that may be encountered as a result of this maintenance work is regrettable.
