The South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) will celebrate its 25-year Anniversary Airshow at Wonderboom National Airport this Saturday, 20 April 2024. The planned 25th anniversary event will take the form of an aviation career day in which over 3 000 guests including local schools are expected to participate.

The aviation career day will incorporate a mini airshow for school children who will have an opportunity to gain valuable knowledge, explore career paths and network with industry insiders. Activities also include recreative flight demonstrations as well as hands-on demonstrations.

The event will bring about an economic stimulus to local businesses within and around the vicinity of the airport, such as hotels, lodges, security providers, cleaners and exhibitors, whose services will support the event’s success.

Top on the guestlist will be the South African Air Force (SAAF), Airlink, FlySafair, Pretoria Skydivers, Airports Company South Africa (ACSA), South African Airways (SAA), Air Traffic and Navigation Company (ATNS) and many other stakeholders in aviation.

The Minister of Transport, Honourable Sindisiwe Chikunga, and the Executive Mayor of Tshwane, Cllr Cilliers Brink, will deliver the keynote address and welcome address, respectively.

The event is fully sponsored by SACAA who are the owners of the event. The 25-year anniversary of SACAA is a landmark event in the history of the South African aviation fraternity and lifetime of the authority for which the City takes great appreciation to host.
