Customers supplied by the Pumulani, Waltloo and Koedoespoort Substations are advised of a rescheduled planned electricity supply interruption planned for Sunday, 25 January 2026.
The planned interruption is required to allow technicians from the City’s Energy and Electricity Business Unit to carry out urgent repair work on Tower 62 near Denlyn Mall. These repairs are necessary to prevent further damage to critical electricity infrastructure and to improve network reliability.
The work was initially planned for Sunday, 21 December 2025, but had to be postponed due to unfavourable wet weather conditions. The City prioritised the safety of technical teams and therefore rescheduled the work.
The interruption is expected to last approximately ten hours, from 08:00 to 18:00, and will affect the following areas:
