Planned water supply shutdown by Rand Water at Olievenhoutbosch and Mnandi Reservoirs

The City of Tshwane has received a notification from Rand Water about a planned water supply shutdown to replace and upgrade the bulk water meter which supplies the Olievenhoutbosch and Mnandi Reservoirs.

This essential work will take place on Monday, 19 June 2023, and will last for 12 hours from 09:00 until 21:00.

The reservoirs in question will be filled to maximum capacity prior to the shutdown, however, water interruptions may be experienced in the following areas:

·         Brakfontein 399-JR ·         Monavoni AH (all extensions)
·         Doornrandje 386-JR ·         Mooiplaats 355-JR
·         Gerhardsville (all extensions) ·         Olievenhoutbosch (all extensions)
·         Hennopsrivier 489-JR ·         Olievenhoutbosch 389-JR
·         Heuweloord (all extensions) ·         Peach Tree (all extensions)
·         Hoekplaats 384-JR ·         Raslouw Ext 11
·         Honeypark 437-JR ·         Stukgrond 382-JR
·         Knopjeslaagte 385-JR ·         Sunderland Ridge (all extensions)
·         Mnandi AH (all extensions) ·         Swartkop 383-JR

meanwhile, another water supply shutdown to replace and upgrade the bulk water meter which supplies Blair Athol Reservoir has been planned for Wednesday, 21 June 2023, and will last for 12 hours from 09:00 until 21:00.

The following areas might be affected:

  • Blair Athol (all extensions)
  • Monaghan (all extensions)
  • Rietfontein 532-JQ
  • Riverside Estate 497-JQ
  • Vlakfontein 494-JQ

The City of Tshwane apologises for the inconvenience that may be encountered because of the above-mentioned water supply shutdowns.
