Land use applications can be submitted digitally

Residents, town-planning firms, land surveyors, property developers and consulting agencies can submit applications electronically via the Land Development Application tab on e-Tshwane.

The new automated system aims to streamline land development applications for city planning customers. By doing away with a hard-copy application process and moving towards automated services that can be tracked and updated online, services to customers will improve significantly.

Another advantage of this system is that it will alleviate the burden of manually checking and processing applications.

The following applications are available on the platform:

  • Rezoning applications
  • Permission for additional dwelling house
  • Demolishing application form
  • Application to approve building plans
  • Site development plan application form
  • Township establishment

To access the online land application system, log on to the e-Tshwane portal, click on the Land Development Application tab and follow the prompts.

To register on e-Tshwane, go to www.e-tshwane.co.za.  You need a municipal account number to register on e-Tshwane.
