MMC Peggy de Bruin salutes Collen Mashawana Foundation for providing social support to residents in need

In my capacity as MMC for Social Development and Community Services, along with the MMC for Human Settlements, Cllr Abel Tau, and the Honourable Lindiwe Zulu, Minister for Social Development, I recently joined the Collen Mashawana Foundation at the handover of a house to the Ngomeni family in Winterveld.

The Collen Mashawana Foundation built the house for the Ngomeni family after I reached out to them for assistance. The family had been living in difficult conditions and urgently needed intervention. In addition to receiving a house, the family received other social support services, such as food, blankets, home appliances, furniture, clothing and children’s toys.

The delivery of the house was made possible by multiple role players, including Old Mutual Foundations, Afribiz and individuals who came forward to lend a helping hand.

The City of Tshwane values such partnerships and the efforts made by the private sector in facilitating service delivery in areas where the City is stretched to provide social assistance.

Furthermore, the City is always available to work with stakeholders to improve the lives of our residents. We welcome all partnerships that drive our goal to deliver quality services to all.
