The Speaker of Council, Cllr Mncedi Ndzwanana, hosted a welcome-back ceremony for our City staff members who took part in the 2023 Comrades Marathon. The event was held so that the Speaker could congratulate all those who took part in this prestigious event on the South African athletics calendar.
The Speaker thanked the athletes for being great City of Tshwane ambassadors and said that their commitment and devotion in participating in one of the world’s greatest marathons are admirable and inspiring.
“I would like to congratulate each and every one of you that crossed the finish line. Congratulations on your endurance and camaraderie during the marathon.”
