• Ensure that your current account is not in arrears
• Go to your nearest customer care walk-in centre to apply for a retrofit
• Complete a Prepayment Meter Application form (by the owner)
• Pay R2 684,51 (VAT inclusive) at the customer care walk-in centre

The notification instruction will then be sent to the Electricity Metering Services Section for implementation.
