Protests by driving schools lead to service interruptions at City of Tshwane licencing centres

The City of Tshwane Roads and Transport Department would like to inform its customers that some licencing centres and motor vehicle registration offices across Tshwane are experiencing service delivery interruptions due to a strike by driving schools.

The following licencing centres are affected by the strike: 

  • Bronkhorstspruit
  • Centurion
  • Rayton
  • Waltloo

Residents are advised that those with driving and learner licence bookings scheduled for today and tomorrow will be deferred. Driving licence renewal bookings are valid for 14 days.

Please note that the following motor vehicle registration offices are operating as normal:

  • Saambou Bulk Office
  • Tshwane Metro Police Department Specialised Bulk Office
  • Akasia Office

The City apologises for the inconvenience caused by this unplanned service interruption.
