Residents requested to submit meter readings

Customers are requested to assist the City by submitting their monthly meter readings to ensure that their municipal accounts are accurate and to avoid estimations. The City is experiencing a backlog on the collection of meter reading data due to the ongoing strike.

Customers can submit meter readings as follows in accordance with the billing calendar:

Customers who want to use the e-Tshwane platform need to ensure that they are registered on e-Tshwane to be able to use it, as non-registered customers will not be able to get billing information.

When submitting meter readings, customers need to use their portion number, which is on the top left corner of their account. When submitting your meter readings, it is important to keep to the submission dates scheduled for specific areas. Refer to the meter billing calendar on https://www.tshwane.gov.za/?page_id=199  to find the correct date for submissions.

Customers can also access a summary of their municipal account on the e-Tshwane portal.

Account payments can be made at accredited third-party pay points, such as Pick n Pay, Usave, OK, Spar, Boxer, Caltex, BP, EP kiosks, Investec, MTN, FNB, Absa, Nedbank, Standard Bank, Shoprite or Checkers, or via electronic fund transfer.

The City apologises to its customers for the inconvenience that the strike has caused.
